What services do you offer ?

I offer medication management in conjunction with psychotherapy for individuals ages 10 through adulthood. I do not offer exclusively psychotherapy at this time

What is a psychiatric nurse practitioner? how does that differ from a therapist and psychiatrist?

A psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse with specialized training in mental health. PMHNPs can diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions, prescribe medication, and provide psychotherapy.

A therapist typically holds a master's degree in counseling, psychology, or social work and provides talk therapy to help clients manage emotional and behavioral issues but cannot prescribe medication.

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor specializing in mental health, capable of diagnosing mental illnesses, prescribing medication, and offering psychotherapy.

What type of mental health issues do you help with ?

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) manage a broad range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and post-traumatic stress disorder. They assess, diagnose, and treat patients experiencing emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric disturbances. PMHNPs also address substance use disorders, manage medication regimens and provide psychotherapy
